This is what today looked like:
6 am – A baby is crying. Hubs did night duty so I need to get up and get everything going. Here I go! Get bottles ready, change diapers, and set the boys up to start eating. Bring them over to the bathroom so they can hang with mommy while I get ready for work.
7:15 – Head out for work, making a pit stop at the store to pick up a sympathy card for a student whose mother recently passed away (so sad..) and make my way to my job.
7:30 – 8:15 – Prep my boards, make sure everything is set up for my students. Chit chat with some of my friends and put a smile on my face. Here we go…
8:15 – 10 am – Teach my students about Helen Keller and Annie Sullivan as we prepare to read The Miracle Worker.
10:40 – 11:30 – Meet with my principal and vice principal to discuss my post observation. Feel good about myself because they commend me and tell me they want to send other teachers in to peer shadow me because they are impressed with my classroom management. This excites me because I’ve been out for the majority of the school year. YAY!
11:30 – 12:45 – Teach another class. We do the same thing we did on the first class.
12:45-1:30 – Spend 20 minutes eating lunch with my girl friends and then head to my classroom to have lunch with two sweet young ladies who asked if they could eat lunch with me today. Chit chat with the girls as I prepare to teach my last class for the day.
1:30 – 3:15 – Teach my last class and organize everything. Prep some papers to bring home to grade because grades will be due soon. Looks like I will be grading over the weekend. NOOOOOO.
3:15- 3:30 – Run to the bank to pull out money to pay my mother-in-law for watching the boys. We like to bless her for blessing us!
3:30 – 4:30 – Cuddle with the babies and give them a million kisses until hubs comes home! Hubs and I decide to take the boys out on a little adventure. Time to get them ready..
5 pm – 7 pm – Dinner at Moe’s, Target (would it be a Friday night without a Target run? Nope!), and a visit Kohl’s!
7:15 – 8 – Prep the boys for bed. Feed them, change them, cuddle them!
8 – 9 pm – Watch Impractical Jokers with the husband and surf the internet!
9 pm – Hubs leaves to watch Captain America with a coworker of mine…total bromance. TIME TO BLOG!
This was my day in a nutshell! It was such a beautiful day out and what made the day so easy was the fact that I had my husband with me for the afternoon and evening. Because he works a retail schedule, there are times where he has to close and I have to fly solo. It was so nice to be able to spend time together as a family. Also, my husband is practicing his photography skills…we decided to take some pictures yesterday..here is a sneak peak:
What does your day look like? Feel free to share! Happy Friday!
